ABOUT THE PRODUCTDefiance Complete is highly-fortified fiber-based textured feed that is also low in sugars and starches. Defiance Complete can be fed as the sole ration to mature horses, offering a solution to those who travel long distances, when forage supply is limited, for horses experiencing dental problems, or when a horse may have an allergy associated with the hay or pasture source (such as veterinary diagnosed COPD). This product contains loose beet pelp shreds to offer a bulky fiber source to those horses with limited access to hay or pasture, or due to difficulty consuming roughage. Due to loose beet pulp, this product has added soybean oil and molasses to improve palatability. HOW TO FEEDMaintenance (horses older than 4 years), Light Work, and Pregnant Mares in the first 2 trimesters of gestation: Feed 0.5 to 1 lb per 100 lbs of body weight per day. Medium or Intense Work, and mares in Lactation or late gestation: Feed 1.0 to 1.5 lbs per 100 lbs of body weight per day. Defiance Complete may need to be moistened or soaked with water for increased consumption, particularly for senior horses, horses that consume feed quickly, or horses that have had no prior experience consuming loose beet pulp. Adjust the amount of feed per day depending on the animals condition and level of work. Feed in addition to an adequate supply of pasture or hay, fresh clean water, and free-choice white salt. It is advised that if senior horses are able to consume hay, that hay continue to be offered in addition to this feed. CAUTION Store product in a clean environment free of moisture, rodents, insects, and other pests. Do not feed moldy or repugnant feed. This product has been formulated specifically for horses and is not intended for other species. DO NOT FEED TO SHEEP DUE TO HIGH COPPER LEVEL. |
