ABOUT THE PRODUCTFoals have special nutrient needs that are vastly different from their adult counterparts. All*American®Foal 16 is a pelleted highly digestible concentrate that has been formulated to meet their high requirements for protein, vitamins, and minerals. Chelated trace minerals have been added so that the foal receives a high level of digestible minerals. Yeast cultures have been added to help the foal develop beneficial digestive microbes in his stomach. Yucca has been selected as an ingredient to reduce urine odor, and to help maintain the digestive tract pH. Finally, the amino acid lysine has been added to Foal 16 to ensure that the foal receives enough high quality protein. No other concentrates or supplements are required when feeding All*American®Foal 16 at the recommended feeding rate.
HOW TO FEEDBegin offering Foal 16 by placing a small amount of feed in the foal's mouth as soon as it will accept feed. Soon the foal will be consuming Foal 16 unassisted. Offer Foal 16 free choice in areas accessible only to the foal. Allow the foal to eat Foal 16 free choice until weaned. After weaning,feed 4—8 lbs daily with high quality hay or pasture. Feed at this rate until the foal reaches 2 years of age. Ample amounts of fresh, clean water and good quality hay or high quality pasture should be furnished at all times. FOR MARES: Feed at the rate of 1 to 4 lbs per head per day.
